Launching products on your blog or website
I am currently on the verge of releasing my very first e-book product. I’ve put together a couple of different free e-books such as The Blogging Tool Kit on this website but I have never released a paid eBook. This particular eBook is for one of my niche websites that I’ve expanded to an authority website. This is a great way monetize your website even if you haven’t put together a digital product before.
I have launched a couple of products on this particular website along with a few affiliate promotions but I’ve never launched a product with a full scale release. Basically, my product launches in the past really just consisted of a promotional video, adding the product to my website, and hoping that existing visitors buy the product. This time around I’ve done a lot more research and I’m really going to put together a big product launch. I thought I would share some of those ideas here.
Here is a list of Blog tips I put together that I think we can all implement to make a better blog. Feel free to leave a comment with your tips or tricks!
Change your permalink structure to reflect the title of your blog post. Not only does this help your SEO but it also provides a more memorable link for the visitors on your blog. Without this is each post will have an ugly link with letters and numbers.
Reward yourself for your hard work by adding a few ways that you can monetize your blog. The key to monetization is to not interrupt the user experience but at the same time provide products or services that you recommend. Learn how to monetize your website here.
One of the things that almost all websites should have is a contact form. A contact form makes it easy for the visitors of your website to contact you with comments, suggestions, questions and more. Creating a contact form can be difficult if you don’t have a lot of web design skills……. well, unless you know this tip!
As always, leave it to WordPress to have an extremely effective plugin to make it easy to add a contact form to your website. The plugin that I will be showing you in the tutorial below is Contact Form 7. Not only is this a great plugin but it is also free.
Ways to monetize your website
One of the main reasons websites are created is to monetize them. A lot of online entrepreneurs are creating websites just for the purpose of monetizing. This is a business model that can be very lucrative but many fail in the online business world. One of the main reasons they fail is because they don’t diversify their online income.
There are many ways you can effectively monetize your website. Today we are going to talk all about the numerous ways in which you can do so.
iPhone Apps for bloggers
As are many bloggers I am very busy and I am always looking for ways to improve my time management and productivity. I am constantly on the go and when I have time to sneak in work on my websites I have to be as productive as possible. So today, I want to list some of the apps that of been very helpful with time management, productivity, and blogging on the go. I am also gonna list some very important apps that have helped me track my website on the go.
Workflowy – This is a very simple yet effective productivity app. This app allows you to make notes and/or lists in outline format. This is one application that I am using all day long so that I never forget an idea or a task that needs completed. This app will also send you a daily email letting you know the activity that happened on your list. This can be great for fueling that feeling of completion as you see what you have accomplished and marked off of your list.
Google Drive – This is probably the most important blogging app that I use on a daily basis. I do all of my writing within Google Drive as I prepare my blog posts. This is very easy to use and it allows me to open it up no matter where I am.
Article marketing is a great way to not only get exposure to your website but to also build backlinks for SEO purposes. To be successful online we need traffic, more importantly targeted traffic. One way that we can increase the amount of traffic our website receives is with article marketing. This is one particular method I have been able to implement into my backlinking strategy.
What is Article Marketing?
My definition of article marketing is using uniquely created content in the form of an article on other high ranking websites to drive traffic and backlinks to your website. I use article directories such as ezinearticles, articlebase, Goarticles, and web 2.0 properties such as squidoo. These websites allow you to submit unique content to their website in return for a link or few links back to your website.
Article marketing is a great way to get targeted traffic while also getting your website discovered by the search engines. It can also help you get on the front page of Google. If you are lucky enough (or work hard enough) to make it to the top of first page of search results it can lead to massive amounts of traffic and a huge earnings potential.
If you have started your Journey as a blogger than you have probably started your journey to become an SEO expert. Lets face it, we can’t do it all and we need some help along the way. One of the most known and highly regarded SEO plugins for WordPress is WordPress SEO by Yoast.
The beauty of WordPress is that it has made it easier to do almost anything imaginable with a website including SEO. There are so many amazing plugins out there for everything that can truly enhance your website. One of my favorites is the WordPress SEO Plugin which inspired today’s post.
This is in my list of plugins that I install on every website I create. It’s really simple to use and effective at the same time. One of my favorite features of the plugin is the snippet preview. This feature shows you what your post will look like in Google search results. It will also analyze each post that you add to your blog along with many other useful features.
Part of my content creation strategy for this website is planning my posts for the week ahead of time. This is a new strategy that I am implementing to keep fresh posted content on a regular basis. Part of this strategy will include writing my posts ahead of time and scheduling them to post in WordPress. This strategy is something I learned from Dave Taylor and I am now implementing it.
My plan involves a set of the following steps:
- List my topics for the week
- List keywords for each post
- Create an outline for each topic
- Write the content
- Optimize title and content
- Schedule posts
- Spread the word
